Former VC-funded startup founder turned modern muse.
I grew up in Europe steeped in world-class literature and philosophy, and became a full-time Californian a couple of years ago with a full immersion in the tech world. I still occasionally consult, sit on startup boards, and run things during the day, but these days I've developed a deep appreciation for hedonism, leisure, and the rather radical idea that life is meant to be enjoyed.
I read the way other people scroll Instagram. I may not know much about baseball or the World Cup, but I will happily spend an evening arguing about the French Revolution, whether AI will create a permanent underclass (which I have no intention of joining), or why some societies hold together while others come apart.
I'm interested in the load-bearing walls of things: taste, incentives, institutions, people. I like marketplaces, dead empires, beautiful objects with no practical purpose, and anything that makes me reconsider what I thought I knew.
INTJ, if that's your thing.
I've never been particularly good at the corporate game. I built and ran startups instead, until runway got short, my own conviction faded, and my taste for a life of leisure became considerably stronger. I still keep one foot in the world of work, but I have an unusual amount of freedom over my time. My weekdays may occasionally find me at my laptop between 10 AM and 3 PM PST, but otherwise I'm remarkably flexible, and I can think of considerably more interesting uses for a lunch break.
I speak an arguably unnecessary number of European languages, English included. I've lived in more than four countries and travelled to more than fifty, usually the Bourdain way rather than the tourist way. I'm a bookworm, an author, and, technically, an Alien of Extraordinary Ability, which is either an impressive immigration classification or the beginning of a very good science-fiction novel.
I am, in person, considerably more approachable than this bio may suggest. I like good Japanese, Thai, Indian and French food, wandering around cities with no particular plan, discovering obscure places, laughing at things that probably shouldn't be funny, and talking to people who are genuinely curious about the world. I'm feminine, playful, sensual, and perfectly capable of being delightfully normal.
Why am I here?
Why not?
I couldn't think of a more excellent use of free will.
And, well, the life of leisure does require a mysterious source of income.
We would probably get along if you are - discreet, curious, fun, and don't take yourself too seriously. If you have strong opinions, even better. I like people who can go unexpectedly deep on niche subjects, who have built something, are building something, or simply have an unusually interesting mind.
The men I tend to like tend to be intellectuals, romantics, founders, senior operators, C-suite executives, self-made people, unabashed nerds, and men with opinions. Occasionally all at once. You may or may not be slightly neurodivergent. Honestly, same here.
I'm intentionally low-volume and selective with my time, so availability is limited. If we happen to be a good fit, I suspect you'll find me considerably more fun than my résumé suggests.
